Group of teens help disabled Ellendale resident

While many kids are having fun in the sun or enjoying their summer days at the beach, one group of teens are hoping to make a difference in Ellendale.

It's for a mission trip sponsored by Catholic Heart Workcamp. It's a nationwide group and this year they are stationed out of Dover with over 200 campers.

For the past several days, these campers have been helping handicapped and disabled residents by doing home improvements, such as fixing up the handicap ramps.

Jerry Guyer, one of the handicapped residents says, "I'm so grateful for each one of them to be part of my life. It's a special thing for me and my wife."

Guyer says he's on a limited income, so having these campers help out is making a world of a difference.
