Deputies: Wanted Md. woman calls 911 during arrest
A Maryland woman is facing charges after police say she was arrested during a traffic stop and called 911 during her arrest.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday, at 12:00 AM, a deputy patrolling the area of Beaglin park Drive saw a vehicle commit a moving violation. Authorities say the vehicle was pulled over for the infraction and the driver was identified as 37-year-old Latoya Walker. Deputies say Walker had an active arrest warrant for escape second degree.
According to the report, while handcuffed, Walker was able to reach her phone and call 911 multiple times. Law enforcement reports that the Salisbury woman then continued to cause a disturbance in the area by screaming.
Walker was arrested and taken to Central Booking. Deputies report that Walker was served with warrant for second degree escape and charged with resist arrest and disorderly conduct.
