Deputies: Juvenile had gun on Salisbury school property; investigation ongoing

An investigation is underway after deputies say a juvenile was on school property with a gun, in Salisbury.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Monday morning, the received a call from faculty inside of Prince Street Elementary School regarding an individual with a gun. Deputies say they reported that they say a male with what they believed was a gun on school property, on the playground.  

According to the report, deputies and the Salisbury Police Department arrived quickly and located the juvenile who had a B.B gun.

Law enforcement reports that there were no students present during the incident as Friday was the last day of school in Wicomico County. Deputies say school faculty and staff sheltered in place during the incident.
The investigation of this incident is still ongoing at this time.

Authorities say charges will be requested through the Department of Juvenile Services.
