Delaware bill that eliminates pharmaceutical ‘gag clauses’ passes Senate
Delaware legislators passed a bill that they say will break down barriers for Delawareans. House Bill 425 passed the Senate unanimously on Thursday.
Officials with the House Democratic Caucus issued a release today saying that it will help residents who need to purchase prescription drugs.
Those same leaders say that the legislation eliminates the "gag clause," which stops some pharmacists from disclosing price options available to consumers.
Politicians who support the bill say it will help customers who overpay for prescriptions.
HB 425 now heads to Governor John Carney for his signature.
