Traffic stop results in felony weapon and drug charges for Del. man

A man is facing multiple charges after troopers say a variety of drugs and a gun were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop, in Delaware. 

Delaware State Police say on Tuesday night,  just before 6:00 PM, they noticed a 2006 red Ford Mustang traveling north on South Dupont Highway with a cracked windshield. Police say they then pulled over the vehicle.

According to the report, 24-year-old Robert Harding, of Felton, was identified as the driver, and he was found to be in  possession of a loaded 40 caliber Glock handgun with 15 rounds in his waistband, 18.3 grams of crack cocaine, 4.38 grams of cocaine, and 10 Ecstasy pills. A digital scale was also reportedly found in the vehicle. 

Harding was arrested and charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a substance in a tier 3 quantity, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, two counts of possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a safety glass violation.

He was then turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $42,201 secured bond.
