Vehicles, cash, and cocaine seized in multi-agency raid in Md.; three charged

Three men were arrested after deputies say a multi-agency raid resulted in the seizure of vehicles, cocaine, and over $13,000 in cash, in Maryland.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says on Tuesday, the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force was assisted in conducting a multi-agency narcotics raid and executing six search and seizure warrants in Dorchester County and Talbot County. Deputies say the warrants were the result of a nearly three-year investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics.

Authorities say the targets of the investigation were 43-year-old Monsuta Cornish, 45-year-old Rip Cornish, and 18-year-old Roy Yvon Bell, all of separate Cambridge addresses.

According to law enforcement, the following was seized as a result of the investigation: six motor vehicles, one motorcycle, three handguns, one shotgun, 1,131.8 grams of cocaine, 436.4 grams of crack cocaine, 810.6 grams of marijuana, and $13,519 in cash.

Monsuta Cornish was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of a large amount of cocaine with intent to distribute and 2 counts of possession of paraphernalia.

Rip Cornish was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of a large amount of cocaine with intent to distribute, 2 counts of possession of paraphernalia, distribution of cocaine while in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, possession of firearms, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a regulated firearm by a convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a school zone.

Roy Yvon Bell was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, 4 counts of possession of paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm while involved in a drug trafficking crime, carrying a firearm while involved in a drug trafficking crime, using a firearm during the commission of a felony, being in possession of a regulated firearm while under 21 and 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a school zone.

All three men were ordered to be held without bond.
