UPDATE: Smyrna woman sentenced on human trafficking charges in Del.
A 35-year-old woman was sentenced for her role in trafficking a 16-year-old girl last year, in Delaware.
The Delaware Department of Justice says on Friday, 35-year-old Jessica Hutkin, of Smyrna, was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by one year of work release and two years of probation. Hutkin pleaded guilty guilty to the charges of to human trafficking of a minor and conspiracy second degree in October 2017. The charges stem from an incident that happened in May 2017.
At that time, Hutkin was one of five individuals involved in the trafficking of a 16-year-old girl in the Dover area.
Donnell Singletary was also sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to his role in the incident.
Hutkin will also be required to register as a Tier II sex offender in addition to serving time in prison and probation.
