UPDATE: Former MSP civilian pilot sentenced in Talbot Co. child pornography case
A former Maryland State Police Aviation Command civilian pilot was sentenced on several child pornography charges, in Talbot County
The Talbot County State's Attorney's Office says on Monday, David Eldredge, of Preston, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of child pornography.
In December 2017, Eldredge uploaded child pornography over the internet to a personal cloud storage account. The civilian helicopter pilot with the Maryland State Police Aviation Command apparently used the internet address located at the MSP Aviation Command Easton Section to download images of child pornography on a tablet.
Investigators report that this was a non-Maryland State Police internet account that had been created there.
Eldredge was arrested in connection with the child pornography investigation on December 19, 2017 and released on December 20.
He was issued a one year sentence with the sentence being suspended. He will be required to register a sex offender and be on two years supervised probation.
