Troopers: Man wanted after leaving crash, victim in Del.
Troopers are searching for a man who is wanted on multiple charges in connection with a Georgetown crash that happened last year.
Delaware State Police say on December 10,2017, around 4:15 AM, troopers were dispatched to Oak Orchard Road, at Nelsa Lane, for a crash involving a vehicle into a tree. Once on scene, troopers say the driver, 23-year-old Keith Jones of Georgetown, had fled the scene.
According to the report, a 22-year-old male passenger was trapped inside the vehicle an, and he had to be extracted. The passenger was apparently removed from the scene and taken to Beebe Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities report that Jones was located at a residence, on Basin road, around 4:52 AM. DSP says Jones sustained injuries as a result of the crash and he was taken to Beebe Memorial Hospital where he was admitted.
Upon his release from the hospital, law enforcement says they have been unable to locate Jones.
According to law enforcement, Jones is wanted on charges of vehicular assault first degree, driving a vehicle under the influence third offense, leaving the scene of a collision, driving while suspended or revoked, and other traffic related offenses.
