Police: Two Dover homes hit by gunfire; investigation ongoing

A shooting remains under investigation, after police say two occupied houses were hit by gunfire, in Dover. 

The Dover Police Department says on Sunday, just after 4:00 AM, officers responded to the Manchester Square neighborhood, on Stevenson Drive, for a report of shots fired. Police learned that two houses were struck while occupied, a combined three times. 

Shell casings were apparently found in the area of White Oak Road and Stevenson Drive. Police say on one was injured in the incident. 

According to the report, witnesses reported seeing a light-colored sedan fleeing westbound on White Oak Road after the shooting.

Dover PD continue to investigate this incident.
