Police search for suspect involved in armed robbery at Talbot Co. store

Troopers are searching for a suspect after they say he was responsible for an armed robbery of a store, in Trappe.

Maryland State Police say on Monday, shortly before 8:00 PM, troopers from the MSP Easton Barrack responded to the High's Store, at 4046 Ocean Gateway, for a reported armed robbery.

Troopers say a man pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the cashier and demanded money. According to the report, the cashier complied with the suspect's demands and he fled the scene with the cash.

No one was injured in this incident.

According to MSP, the suspect is described as wearing dark clothing and a bandana or cloth to cover his face. Authorities say the the Easton Police Department reported a similar armed robbery on Monday with a suspect who had the same description.

Troopers say the suspect was last seen running away from the store towards E. Maple Avenue.
