Milton PD remembers fallen heroes of Delaware Law Enforcement through banner

Milton Police Department has decided to honor the state's fallen heroes with a new banner.

The banner is placed at the police station's lobby facing the street. It has the 42 names, pictures, and an end of watch date for each officer who died in the line of duty.

As you know, law enforcements put their lives at risk every day and most of them return home at the end of their shift. But some are not as fortunate.

47 ABC spoke to Chief Robert Longo, who says they want to pay tribute to the men and women, but also to the families involved. Longo says this is solely about the families, to remind them that their loved ones will never be forgotten.

Back in August, they painted blue lines at the crosswalks in front of the department to support law enforcement.

We're told they are constantly coming up with different ways to show their respect and will continue to do so.
