Georgetown man arrested after leading police on vehicle pursuit

The Delaware State Police have arrested 40-year-old Christopher Albury of Georgetown after he led Troopers on a pursuit and resisted arrest.

On Saturday around 9:00 PM a trooper saw a vehicle with a headlight out and attempted to stop the vehicle, but according to officials Albury would not stop and a pursuit ensued. Police say stopped sticks were used to bring the vehicle to a stop on Redden Rd. Albury allegedly then exited the car and soon a foot purusit began. After a brief struggle, police say Albury was taken into custody where through further investigation, officials determined Albury was found to be under the influence of alcohol. he is charged with Driving Under the Influence, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Stop on the Command of a Police Officer, and numerous other offenses. Albury was arraigned and is held on a $4,864.00 secured bond.
