A teen was arrested after deputies say he became disruptive and assaulted staff members at a Dorchester County school.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says on Monday, a deputy stationed at the Cambridge-South Dorchester High School arrested a 15-year-old student after authorities say he became disruptive.

Deputies report that the student was initially confronted by school staff in an effort to get him to calm down, but he then assaulted both of the staff members and shoved a female teacher into a wall.

The teen was arrested and he is being charged with two counts of second degree assault and disturbing the school activities.

Law enforcement says he was removed from the school and is awaiting action by juvenile authorities.
