DelDOT preps for Nor’easter

DelDOT crews are prepping for another storm.

Tuesday, officials checked on plows and trucks before hitting the roads.

They say because of the rain, crews will not be immediately salting the roads. We're told the rain washes away the salt,  making it ineffective.

"We couldn't get out there and apply brine so we have to wait until it stops raining and switches over to snow. Or if the temperatures drop, we will have to salt the wet roads so we don't have black ice and refreezing issue to deal with," says Alastair Probert, the South District Engineer for DelDOT.
