Officials: No one injured after garage fire spreads to home in Bishopville

A fire is under investigation, after officials say that no one was injured, in Bishopville, on Thursday morning.

According to the Bishopville Volunteer Fire Company, firefighters responded to West Marie Drive on Thursday morning, for the report of a fully involved home blaze.

The Showell Volunteer Fire Company says that a heavy fire was found in the garage area, and that it spread to the home.

Officials say that crews made a quick attack to extinguish the fire and are working on overhaul. The Bishopville Volunteer Fire Company says that the blaze took two hours to place under control.

Units from Showell, Selbyville, Roxana, Ocean City and Ocean Pines responded to assist. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal.
