A Delaware man is facing multiple charges after he was found have taken over $1500.00 from the business that he worked at by stealing checks.
The Milford Police Department says that they received the theft report Monday from Abbott's Grill.
Police say 29-year old Jonathan Wright told a fellow employee that he would not be returning to work because he would be in trouble for stealing checks from the business.
Management staff checked their records and found that several checks were written out for large amounts of money with forged signatures. Police then discovered that Wright cashed the checks at a nearby retail shop.
On Tuesday Wright was taken into custody without incident and was charged with two counts of Forgery 2nd Degree among other charges.
He was released on a 4-thousand dollar unsecured bail with a no contact order with the victims. He is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing.
