DSP: Probationer arrested after over 1,700 bags of heroin were found in Sussex Co.

A man is in custody after authorities say over 1,700 bags of heroin were found at a residence, in Millsboro.

Delaware State Police say on Thursday, just before 9:00 AM, troopers along with members of the Governor's Task Force and the Delaware Probation and Parole Sussex Street Unit responded to the 23000 block of Mission Road, to conduct and arrest attempt for 26-year-old Tyree Oliver, of Millsboro.  Authorities say Oliver did not report to his probation officials and had a Rule 9 warrant from Superior Court for drug charges, as well as a violation of probation warrants from Superior Court, and a capias out of the Justice of the Peace Court 3 for failure to pay fines. 

According to the report, once on scene, Oliver was found in the residence and taken into custody. Troopers say a search of the home revealed of $1,000 in drug money, approximately 1,780 bags of heroin (12.46 grams), and drug paraphernalia.

Oliver was charged with possession with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was turned over to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $2,000 cash only bond.
