Updated Salisbury PD response to blizzard aftermath

We have updated statistics from Salisbury officials as snow removal efforts continue throughout the city.

As of Saturday morning, Salisbury Police Department has answered 285 calls for service since the beginning of the storm.  SPD has also assisted 129 disabled vehicles as a result of the storm.

Mayor Jake Day tells us this is the just the second time in city history that the municipality was able to plow one hundred percent of streets.

Officials want to remind folks if you do not have to be out and about, the best thing to do is to just stay home.

"If folks can just stay off the roads, I know it's been difficult the past couple of days, but it really does make it easier, especially for the road crews that are still working to clean up some trouble spots," says Salisbury Police Chief Barbara Duncan.

For service calls after normal business hours you can contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410.548-3165.
