UPDATE: Hiring process open for upcoming Chick-Fil-A in Millsboro

The hiring process has begun, after officials say a Maryland native was named as the owner of the upcoming Chick-fil-a, in Millsboro.

Millsboro officials announced that Chick-Fil-A has named Tim Sweetman as the owner of the upcoming chain's Peninsula Crossing restaurant.Officials say the hiring process is open and they are over 100 positions available. 

Sweetman, an Annapolis native, began as a team member at the Edgewater location before studying at Boyce College in Kentucky. He is currently Chick-Fil-A's Director of Training and Leadership Development for three Annapolis restaurants.

According to officials, the new 5,000-square-foot location on Commerce Drive will include a heritage restaurant interior design that showcases handmade, authentic materials for a vintage-inspired interior, including a large gathering table made from reclaimed wood, subway tiles, and a light fixture made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles. Drive-thru service will feature two ordering lanes merging into a single lane for pickup and the restaurant, with indoor seating for 107 and additional patio seating for 12, will include a two-story play area for children.

In reference to the upcoming restaurant, Chief Brian Calloway with the Millsboro Police Department says he is among the many exited about the new location.

As the hiring process is open, there are full-time and part-time position available in various areas of the restaurant.
