MMCC Executive Director Jameson resigns in Md.

A state marijuana organization has announced the resignation of an organization official, in Maryland.

Officials with the Natalie M. LaPrade Medical Marijuana Commission (MMCC) say on Thursday, Executive Director Patrick Jameson has resigned effective November 30, in Maryland. Jameson will apparently assist with the transition plan.

Chair of the Medical Marijuana Cannabis Commission Brian Lopez says, "We appreciate the work and effort Patrick has put forth during his time with the Commission. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

The commission was apparently created by the General Assembly in 2013 and named for the mother of Delegate Cheryl Glenn
(Baltimore City). She had reportedly been a longtime advocate for creating a medical marijuana program in the state.
