Police: Suspect wanted after man shot in Bridgeville

Police are currently investigating a shooting that happened early on Thursday morning east of Bridgeville.

According to Delaware State Police, at 2:33 AM on Thursday morning, troopers responded to the area of Appletree Road (CR591) south of Oak Road (CR594) for the report of a man that had been shot.

Upon their arrival, troopers learned that a male victim had been shot and was treated on scene by Sussex County Paramedics.

He was then transported by EMS to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated and later flown to the Christiana Hospital.

Police say that the shooting is still in its early stages and more information will be released as it becomes available.
