The Delaware Department of Correction announces an offender escape

An offender from the Morris Community Correctional Center is wanted after police say he did not return from an approved work pass, in Dover.

Officials say that 31-year-old Jerome Barlow willingly escaped on Monday, after being approved for a work pass. According to the report, Barlow is described as standing 6' 1" tall, weighing 160 lbs., with brown eyes and brown hair. His last known address is in Little Creek, DE.

Officials have also released a warrant for Barlow's escape.

The Community Corrections Center is a level four facility that helps those who are transitioning back into the community, and are not secured like level five facilities. At level four facilities, offenders are allowed to leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
