Salisbury woman arrested for allegedly having a baggie of cocaine in her wallet
Deputies say that a Salisbury woman was arrested for having cocaine inside of her wallet in Willards on Wednesday.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, at 3:39 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, a deputy made contact with a car on Main Street in Willards whose passengers were the subject of an investigation that the deputy was conducting.
During the encounter, the deputy said that it was observed what was recognized as a controlled dangerous substance device in plain view. Further search of the vehicle's owner, 25-year-old Tasia Jones, reportedly found a baggie with cocaine in it inside of Jones' wallet.
The deputy placed Jones under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following a first appearance, the Commissioner released Jones on personal recognizance on possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
