Tyaskin man arrested after allegedly kicking deputy
Officials say that a Tyaskin man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly assaulting a deputy and resisting arrest in Salisbury.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday at 9:12 p.m., a deputy responded to the Leonard Apartments on Booth Street for a reported disorderly person.
The deputy reportedly found 33-year-old Wayne Fadely and saw that he seemed to be extremely intoxicated. The deputy said that the situation then seemed to resolve itself as Fadely was helped into a car to be taken away from the area; however, deputies say Fadely tried to place himself behind the wheel of the car in what seemed to be an intent to drive away. When the deputy tried to help Fadely from the car, Fadely reportedly kicked the deputy.
With the help of another deputy, Fadely was reportedly removed from the driver's seat and arrested. Deputies say that Fadely continued to be uncooperative with them and the deputies had to carry Fadely into a patrol vehicle even as he told them that he wouldn't go into the vehicle.
Deputies say that Fadely was then placed in the patrol car after kicking one of the deputies again.
Fadely was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following a first appearance, the Commissioner committed Fadely to the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $5,000 bond on second degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges.
