Officials investigating drowning death of 14-year-old in Seaford

DNREC Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police say they are investigating the suspected drowning death of a 14-year-old boy at the Seaford boat ramp on the Nanticoke River Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say DNREC, Seaford Police, the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, the Blades Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County EMS responded to the scene where fire company divers recovered the boy's body from the river.

The Seaford Police Department is assisting Fish and Wildlife Police in the investigation.
