Coastal Hospice at the Ocean receives $100,000 donation

Perdue Foundation DOnates $100,000

On Monday Coastal Hospice and Palliative Care received a $100,000 donation from the Perdue Foundation to help build Coastal Hospice at the Ocean.

The foyer in the new Ocean Pines facility will be named after Perdue.

Jim Perdue, Perdue Chairman, says services provided by Coastal Hospice are invaluable to the families who need them.

The new building will address an increasingly underserved area on the Lower Shore, in terms of hospice care for patients who are not able to stay in their homes during their final days.

The facility will also offer palliative care clinics, facilities for grief support and community education.

The organization serves Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester and Somerset counties.
