Connections CSP offers resources across the state of Delaware

To date so far, 86 overdose deaths have occurred in the state of Delaware.

Out of the three counties, New Castle has the most with 53 and Sussex County follows behind with 20.

That alarming stat has compelled a local treatment center to help, by providing resources.

Connections CSP, known as community support programs, is working throughout the state.

In Harrington, they have a comprehensive withdrawal management center with 28 beds.

Connections also provides intensive outpatient treatment programs in Newark, Smyrna, Dover, Harrington, and Millsboro.

They treat up to 1,500 to 2,000 people a day statewide.

Among their extensive crew they have several peer recovery coaches, who have experienced addiction themselves.

They encourage anyone dealing with an addiction to come to their treatment centers.

Their public information officer Adam Taylor tell us, "We welcome anybody to any one of our facilities and we encourage them to make the decision to come in, we will do everything we can to help people transition from you know horrible lives of active addiction to the beautiful life of recovery."

Programs are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
