Ransford Bryan granted parole

The Delaware Parole Board has informed 47 ABC that convicted murderer Ransford Bryan has been granted parole.

The five member board says Bryan will eventually be transferred to work release from the Sussex Correctional Institution where he will face Level III supervision.

Bryan was convicted for the murder of Dougie Brockway, who was 18 at the time of his death. Brockway and Bryan had gone squirrel hunting in the woods one day in October 1987, with Brockway never returning.

Brockway's body was found three weeks later in the woods with multiple gunshot wounds. Bryan was later convicted of murder and was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole.
