Police trying to ID bank robbery suspects in Accomack Co.

According to Sheriff Todd Godwin, on Monday afternoon, the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a lookout notification from Pocomoke Police Department.

Officials say that this lookout was regarding a vehicle of interest relating to a bank robbery that had happened around 2 PM in their jurisdiction.
An Accomack County deputy found a car driving southbound on Route 13, which matched the vehicle description given by Maryland authorities.

Officials say they made an attempt to stop the vehicle Bethel Church Road, but at that time gunshots were fired at the deputy. These shots ultimately disabled the deputy’s patrol vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was reported to have last been seen traveling eastbound on Turkey Run Road near Mappsville.
