Arrest made in Accomack Co. concerning June murder
According to Sheriff Todd Godwin in Accomack County, an arrest has been made in the death of a man from June 24.
39-year-old Fardale Antonio Johnson, of Mappsville, died as a result of a gunshot wound, and an investigation was started following a report of gunshots being fired between the occupants of two cars driving on Lankford Highway near Mappsville.
Officials say that Johnson was eventually found on Nathanial Street in Mappsville, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the report, 24-year-old Tyqon Demetrius Robins, of Nelsonia, was arrested in Accomack County on September 11, and has been charged with:
- First degree murder
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
- Discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle
Robins is incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was helped in making the arrest by troopers from the Virginia State Police and officers from the Parksley and Bloxom Police Departments.
