WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -

Serena Williams has claimed her third Wimbledon title and first in six years, beating her sister, Venus, 7-6, 6-2. Serena also prevented Venus from becoming the first woman to win three straight Wimbledon titles since Steffi Graf in 1991-93. The Williams sisters have won eight of the 10 Wimbledon singles titles this decade.

MONACO (AP) -

Lance Armstrong said he felt pretty good following today's time trial that opens the Tour de France. The 37-year-old Armstrong is 10th after completing the 9.6-mile ride in 20 minutes, 13 seconds. The seven-time Tour de France champion will head into tomorrow's stage 40 seconds behind leader Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland.

NEW YORK (AP) -

New York Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang left today's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in the sixth inning because of a strained right shoulder. Wang surrendered a two-run homer to Adam Lind with one out in the sixth and threw a pitch to Scott Rolen before he was replaced by David Robertson. Wang already has spent time on the disabled list this season with weakness in the adductor muscles in his hips.

CHICAGO (AP) -

Rookie Casey McGehee had a career high four hits and five RBIs to highlight Milwaukee's 11-2 rout of the Chicago Cubs. McGehee, Mike Cameron and J.J. Hardy homered to back a solid effort by Braden Looper, who allowed two runs in six innings. The Brew Crew rocked Rich Harden for seven runs and eight hits over two-plus innings, the shortest start of his career.

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -

Tiger Woods was the leader as he neared the turn in the third round of the PGA's AT&T National at Congressional Country Club. Woods was 1-over through eight holes today and 9-under for the tournament, one shot ahead of first-round leader Anthony Kim, playing partner Rod Pampling, Michael Allen and Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ik).
