Weather Forecast

Jaisol Martinez

I joined the 47 ABC Storm Team in June 2015, after spending four years as a Fightin' Texas Aggie in College Station, TX.

A low pressure system moves in this afternoon bringing in some rain that will last through late this evening. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the mid-60s. A high pressure system builds to the northwest on Sunday, keeping us mostly sunny with highs in the mid-80s.

The start of the work week will be warm and humid with high temperatures in the mid-80s on Monday. A frontal boundary moves into the area late on Monday and into early Tuesday morning, bringing in a chance of showers and storms. Some thunderstorms within this system could be severe.

Skies clear up on Tuesday and the humidity sticks around with highs in the mid-80s.Temperatures will remain in the mid-80s on Wednesday with increasing clouds in the afternoon and a chance for showers and storms.

Not much of a change temperature wise on Thursday, with highs in mid-80s. Another frontal boundary moves in late on Thursday and into early Friday morning. This system will provide enough lift for another round of showers and storms overnight on Thursday.

Friday will be warm with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-80s.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Hurricane Arthur made landfall in North Carolina late on July 3, but it did not dawdle over the coastline to vandalize neighborhoods for long. By Friday morning, it had weakened to a Category 1 and was downgraded to a tropical storm on Saturday.
