MELFA, Va. - Virginia State Police have identified the man who lost his life in a mobile home fire on Wednesday morning, in Melfa.
According to authorities, 47-year-old Shorn E. Nock was identified as the victim killed in the fire.
The next of kin has been notified of the incident and death. The blaze was reportedly caused by the kitchen stove being left on.
This incident remains under criminal investigation.
In Accomack County residents are still reeling after learning that one of their neighbors is gone.
Investigators say a kitchen fire has claimed the life a Sean Fields.
47 ABC spoke with next door neighbors who say Sean lived in the mobile home alone for the last few years.
He is from Exmore according to relative of his next door neighbor.
Investigators say a motorist spotted the flames and called 911 around 1 a.m.
Several fire departments were called to the scene.
It took about an hour to put out the flames at the house on Lankford Highway.
Authorities aren't releasing much more information at this time, however we will continue to post updates to this tragic story in Accomack County.
