NAPW honors Dr. Angela M. Reeves as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Reeves is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
I am passionate about my service to others! says Dr. Reeves, Counselor and Professor at Mott Community College, as well as Owner and Motivational Speaker at AMR Enterprises.
Dr. Reeves has been sharing her expansive knowledge with students for more than 35 years. From early childhood education to multi-cultural communications, Dr. Reeves has helped to foster the education of thousands of young people. She has also been instrumental in expertly securing, administrating and managing educational grants for the college and has held such positions as Executive Director of Admissions, Registrar and Bursar. Dr. Reeves is also the author ofCollege: What You Need to Know and How to Succeed, which is required for the MCC Study and Learning Skills class.
An exceptional student herself, Dr. Reeves was one of the first undergraduate students to complete a field placement at a Michigan community mental health clinic, where she received training in substance abuse counseling. A motivational speaker, Dr. Reeves has gone on to help train other would-be counselors and educators as she actively facilitates workshops and participates in mentoring programs where she provides professional supervision. She established her company, AMR Enterprises, to continue to provide such educational services to teachers and students alike.
I hope to expand AMR Enterprises to aid teachers to teach more effectively and students to learn with mastery, as well as assist in program development, says Dr. Reeves. I want to create videos that will provide instruction, motivation and other tools seamlessly. Our website will provide readily available tools for teachers, students, program managers and those engaged in spiritual growth and development.
NAPWs mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
