For Insanitek Research and Development's first public outreach engagement project, environmental scientist and independent researcher, Grace Conyers, takes time out of her soil chemistry research to teach urban farmers more science so they can create the gardens of their dreams while living in the cities.

Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) August 30, 2014

Insanitek Research and Development independent researcher and environmental scientist, Grace Conyers, reaches out to the public around her in order to help them create lush gardens within the confines of the city. She calls the project The Savvy Urbanite Farmer, and conducts live workshops every season based on what the people have questions about. Then, she turns around and creates an e-course to put on the web for any urban farmer with similar struggles to learn from.

The Savvy Urbanite Farmer project is a milestone for Insanitek Research and Development, as it is their first set of workshops specifically designed to share in-depth academic research knowledge with the public. Conyers said of the project, "I want to help people create a healthy environment right where they live that they can be proud of and enjoy while learning about the depth of nature." The project takes off this fall with the first live workshop being held at Rosie's Gardens and Hugh's Landscape in Indianapolis, Indiana. More workshops in various locations are to follow.

The Savvy Urbanite Farmer project is hosted by Insanitek Research and Development, which was founded by Grace Conyers in 2007. The Savvy Urbanite Farmer project is designed to teach people about the natural world in the context of gardening and urban farming while helping them create their own garden paradise.
