Jack Heath Replaces Terry Cohen For Salisbury Council Seat

SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury City officials have come to a decision on who will take the vacant city council seat.

Mr. Jack Heath received a unanimous vote this afternoon from city council members. He was one of 12 people who interviewed for the spot on Monday.

Heath is the former CEO of Lower Shore enterprises and reportedly ran for council back in 2013 and lost.

Council members say he was a top pick from the start, and apparently he already has some ideas.

"I think the next key to our improvement is going to be bringing jobs into the area," says Heath. "When you get jobs into the area you can take some of the tax burden off the people, that will be really helpful."

Heath will reportedly start his responsibilities immediately. The position was recently vacated by Terry Cohen, who made the decision to resign for personal reasons.
