SEAFORD, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police is investigating after two people were injured when shots were fired at a party in Seaford.

The Delaware State Police says troopers received a call at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday for a complaint of a loud party. Shortly after troopers left the area, another 911 caller reported gunshots had been fired and that two people were hurt. One of the injured, a 17-year-old from Laurel, was taken to a hospital with a gunshot to the side of his face. Troopers say he is in stable condition.

The second victim, a 23-year-old Seaford man, was struck in the hand. He has been treated and released from the hospital.

Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed an altercation prior to the shots being fired to contact them.
