Harrington Man Accused Of Maintaining Drug Property

HARRINGTON, Del. - A Harrington man was arrested on Wednesday, after an altercation apparently lead to the discovery of marijuana plants.

Harrington Police say Officers on patrol arrived at an Arkansas Drive home, for a reported domestic dispute in progress. During that investigation, they reportedly found that 56-year-old Kenneth Kellam had been in an argument with his step-daughter. Police say family members at the home told them that Kellam was growing marijuana in the backyard of his home, and after Officers received consent to search, they reportedly found marijuana under the bathroom sink.

There is reportedly an 8-year-old child who lives at the home with Kellam. According to the report, the total weight of the plants and marijuana, was 20.5 grams.

Kellam was arrested, and charged with manufactures, delivers or possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug property, possession of marijuana, four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on $3,650 bail.
