Stephen Decatur Football Preview

Posted: Updated:

Berlin, MD - The Stephen Decatur football team is gearing up for another season, looking to build off of their 7-4 season a year ago. The Seahawks face a uphill challenge, looking to replace what was a loaded senior class last year. However, they do bring back senior Justin Meekins at quarterback, which should help ease the transition for many of the underclassmen.

Offensively, the Seahawks should be able to rush the ball effectively. Head Coach Knox though believes there are several other areas the team will need players to emerge in for the team to reach their true potential. Coach Knox felt there is competition with the chance of earning a starting spot at wide receiver, running back, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers.

The Seahawks open the season September 5th when they host Indian River at 7:00 pm.
