Blades Man Dies After Industrial Incident In Federalsburg

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - A Blades man was killed on Monday, during an industrial accident in Federalsburg. Maryland State Police - Easton Barrack say around 8:20 PM, Troopers responded to Chipmans Lane, for reports of an industrial accident.

Once on scene, Troopers discovered that Robert Everett of Seaford, Delaware, was driving a 1998 Freightliner, when for unknown reasons, 20-year-old Greg O'Neal, ended up entrapped under the truck's back wheels as it was moving forward.

O'Neal, who was working for Unicon, Inc. a poultry handling and transportation company, was fatally injured. When emergency medical personnel responded, they pronounced O'Neal dead at the scene.

A representative from the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health responded to the scene, to assist in the investigation.
