Three Arrested On Weapons Charges During Traffic Stop In Dover

DOVER, Del. - Three people were arrested in Dover early Monday morning, on weapons charges.

Dover Police say an Officer on patrol around 2:00 AM, noticed a vehicle driving on DuPont Highway, near Rustic Lane, with tags that expired in April. According to the report, the Officer tried to pull over the vehicle, but it kept driving, bypassing several areas to safely stop. Police say the vehicle eventually pulled over in the parking lot of a business near Kentwood Drive, with one passenger getting out an fleeing.

The Officer spoke with the remaining three occupants, and found that the driver, 30-year-old Lateef Dickerson, of Middletown, was intoxicated. During the stop, Officers say they found two firearms, a .38 caliber Taurus revolved that was reported stolen, and a 9mm Ruger, inside the vehicle. Police say both weapons were loaded when they were found.

Dickerson, and the two other occupants, 29-year-old Caprice Black, of New Jersey, and 29-year-old Diavonna Moulden, of Elkton, Maryland, were arrested without further incident.

Dickerson was charged with 4 counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited, carry a concealed deadly weapon-firearm, receiving a stolen firearm, disregard police officer signal, conspiracy 2nd degree, possession of a firearm under the influence, DUI, and other traffic offenses. He was being held on $16,925 bond.

Black was charged with carry concealed deadly weapon-firearm, conspiracy 2nd degree, receiving a stolen firearm, and released on $5,000 bond.

Moulden was charged with 4 counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited, carry a concealed deadly weapon-firearm, receiving a stolen firearm, and conspiracy 2nd degree. She was released on $15,000 bond.

The investigation into the forth suspect is on-going on this time.
