Posted: Updated:

47 ABC - This week, the U-S Senate approved a measure creating two historical parks that honor Underground Railroad Conductor Harriet Tubman.

The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park would span more than 2,700 acres in Dorchester County.  Another nearly 3,000 acres could be set aside in Caroline and Talbot Counties as well.

If passed by the House, this would be the first national park in honor of an African-American woman.
