Salisbury Woman Found Dead In Home, No Foul Play Suspected

SALISBURY, Md. - Police in Salisbury say they are investigating the death of a Salisbury woman, after she was found dead in her home on Thursday.

Salisbury Police say around 5:15 PM, Officers responded to Middleneck Driver, for reports of an unresponsive woman. Once on scene, Police say they found the deceased woman, identified as 51-year-old Lisa Marie Byrd inside the home.

According to the report, an acquaintance of the victim had stopped by the house, after not hearing from Byrd during the day. When the acquaintance saw a the unresponsive Byrd inside, they call Police.

On Friday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Byrd, which did not reveal signs of trauma or foul play. A complete autopsy report, is expected to take several weeks. Toxicology reports are still pending at this time.
