Weather Delays Rocket Launch To ISS

Posted: Updated:

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. - Weather again appears to be a factor in delaying firing up a rocket to the International Space Station.

Officials from Orbital Sciences and NASA made the call Friday morning to push launching the Antares rocket from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility from Saturday until Sunday, July 13th at 12:52 PM. According to Orbital, this launch would be the fourth Antares flight in the past 15 months.

The mission is expected to bring 3,300 pounds of supplies to the ISS that includes research investigations, hardware and science experiments from across the country.
