UPDATE: Driver Not Charged In Naylor Street Pedestrian Accident

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - An investigation into an accident involving a young girl getting hit by a car in Salisbury has wrapped up with no charges.

According to Salisbury Police, the girl had gotten out of a local church van and was looking back for her brother when she ran into the street and into the mirror of a vehicle on Naylor Street. Witnesses told our crews yesterday they saw a female driver speeding down Naylor Street, before reportedly hitting the child.

But police say that speeding was not a contributing factor in the accident. The driver is not being charged since they say the pedestrian was at fault.

47 ABC's Kody Leibowitz spoke with the family of the young girl on Wednesday.
