DSP Arrests Two On Heroin Charges In Dover

DOVER, Del. - Two men were arrested Tuesday during a fugitive apprehension warrant service in Dover. Delaware State Police say around 12AM, Detectives with the Kent County Governor's Task Force went to a house on Mast Circle in an attempt to arrest 28-year-old Christopher Roberts. Roberts was wanted out of New Castle County. Once on scene, the homeowner allowed Troopers into the home, where they found Roberts and 29-year-old Gary Stanley, of Dover, in a back bedroom.

Police say Roberts was taken into custody without incident and had 23 bags of heroin, .6 grams of cocaine, 11 grams of marijuana, Oxycodone, brass knuckles with a knife and $629 cash from suspected drug sales. Stanley reportedly resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody and found to be in possession of more than 300 bags of heroin, along with $326 in cash from suspected drug sales. Both men were taken back to Troop 3 to be charged.

Roberts was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, conspiracy 2nd degree, three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $64,800 cash bond.

Stanley was charged with possession of a controlled substance tier 4 quantity - heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin, conspiracy 2nd degree, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from custody, after posting $32,000 bond.
