Dover Woman Wanted After July 4th Stabbing

DOVER, Del. - A Dover woman is wanted after she apparently stabbed her ex-boyfriend, in a hotel parking lot on Friday.

Dover Police say on July 4th, just before 10:00 PM, Officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the Holiday Inn parking lot on North Dupont Highway. Once on scene, Officers met with the 51-year-old victim, who reportedly had numerous slash and stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.

According to the report, the victim identified 29-year-old Charmele Seymore, as the person who assaulted him. Police say the victim and Seymore were involved in an argument, when she pulled out a knife, and assaulted him, stole his money, and then fled.

The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery for his injuries.

Seymore is now wanted by Dover Police, on charges of robbery 1st degree, assault 1st degree, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact them at 302-736-7111.
