Milford School District Creates Scholarship In Honor Of Principal

Posted: Updated:

MILFORD, Del. - The tragic crash that rocked the Milford School District just three months ago is sparking a new tradition in the community.

School officials tell 47 ABC, they plan to hold an annual baseball tournament in honor of Milford Central Academy's beloved principal, Dr. Tricia Martin, and her 10-year-old daughter who were killed in a crash back in April.

The first event kicked off on Sunday, and all funds will go to a scholarship in her name, which is reportedly eligible to Milford High School seniors looking to study education in college.

School officials say they are still accepting donations for the scholarship. If you are interested, you can call the district office at 302-422-1600.
