Delmarva Power Provides Improved Billing Transparency For Customers

Posted: Updated:

DELAWARE - Customers of one local power company, can now see an explanation of charges on their bill.

Delmarva Power says as of July 1st, customers can now view a more detailed explanation of delivery charges having to do with programs required by the state of Delaware. Delmarva Power says the new billing transparency comes from Delmarva Power collaborating with state legislators, the Delaware Public Service Commission, and the Delaware Public Advocate to improve customer service and bring customer awareness of residential and commercial billing.

Charges that customers can view include: Low Income Charge, Green Energy Fund and Renewable Compliance Charges. Officials say these charges are not new, it's just the first time that customers can see them laid out. Both My Account and paper bill customers can view the new billing format.
